FAQ
1. Can Captain Richard's Best be applied directly to the dirty surface of my vehicle without scratching the surface? Yes, Captain Richard's Best is a two step process. The first step cleans the surface with mild cleansing agents that emulsify the surface dirt, grease, grime, bird droppings, and water spots and lifts the debris from the surface. The second step lubricates and protects the surface with bonding agents that provide a layer of protection that will not cause any scratching or swirling on painted surfaces. It cleans and shines at the same time. If your automobile, motorcycle or any other vehicle is extremely dirty due to hazardous weather conditions or neglect, just rinse off before applying Captain Richard's Best. This question about scratching the surface is the most commonly asked and if you have dirt on the surface you have to get it off somehow, and a sponge or rag will scratch, and even if you rinse it first there is still dirt stuck to the surface. Captain Richard's Best enables you to remove the dirt safely without scratching any surface.

2. Can Captain Richard's Best clean and polish glass and chrome? Yes, Captain Richard's Best can make chrome, glass, Plexiglas, lexan and any smooth polishable surface look absolutely beautiful. Captain Richard's Best is also safe for tinted windows because there is no ammonia in this product. Never put an abrasive product on your chrome.

3. Will Captain Richard's Best harm my new car finish? Captain Richard's Best will help protect your new car finish and keep that showroom look, and help prolong the damaging effects of UV rays.

4. Does Captain Richard's Best repel water? Captain Richard's Best is great for beading and sheeting water to give you less water spots.

5. Can Captain Richard's Best be used on the inside of my vehicle? Yes, you can use Captain Richard's Best on the dashboard, dials or any other hard smooth surface without leaving a greasy, oily after feel.

6. Can I use Captain Richard's Best inside the house? Yes, Captain Richard's Best is the best there is for windows, mirrors, kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures and ceramic tile. It is slippery so you must be careful not to use it where you walk.

7. Can I use Captain Richard's Best on my motorcycle windshield? Absolutely. Captain Richard's Best will actually fill in small scratches and swirls and give you much better visibility, and also protect your windshield from getting pitted from sand and debris, and bugs will not tend to stick. There is no ammonia, no buildup, and no discoloration.
Never put windex, rain-x, paper towels, rags or the crap at the gas stations on your windshield, because you will ruin your windshield.

8. Is there any silicone in Captain Richard's Best? No, Captain Richard's Best applies an after market clear coat to your finish.

9. How many cleanings can I expect to get? On a normal size vehicle you should get about 40 cleanings. For a motorcycle you can get as many as 250. It's very inexpensive to use and can save a lot of money at the car wash, and a lot of time at home.

10. How long will it last? The sun does not cook Captain Richard's Best off the finish. I live in Florida and in as little as three days the sun can bake your wax off your finish, but not with Captain Richard's Best. You can get up to six months protection, depending on where you live, but each layer you put on will make your paint job look deeper and deeper and deeper. For motorcycles, I do my inner primary with Captain Richard's Best, and it stays nice and black with no bleeding and no graying. Try that with some of your cleaners.

11. Will it clean and polish polished aluminum and billet? No, our other product BOMS AWAY will do that better than anything on the market. Captain Richard's Best will protect your metals and stop them from oxidizing so fast.
